Local author Michael Bisceglia, Saturday September 26th

On Saturday, September 26th at 1 PM, the Lane Memorial Library will host an author talk and book signing with local newspaperman Michael Bisceglia Jr. His book Room 600 follows the life of a 'special needs' teacher in a school classroom for middle-school students with disabilities ranging from blindness to severe retardation. Based on years of personal experience, Mike has written a warm and and wonderful novel about the trials and triumphs within a world rarely seen by the public.

Though special education is often neglected, Mike Bisceglia has written a sensitive story that deals with sensitive issues and did it with dignity, diplomacy and a healthy dose of humor. - Richard Lee, Library Director, Waukegan Public Library System.

Michael E. Bisceglia, Jr. is an educator with over 25 years of experience in the fields of teaching and administration, six of which were spent teaching students with diverse disabilities.
