Meet the Author - K. D. Mason, March 2

Plan to join us on Saturday, March 2nd at 3:00 PM for an enjoyable conversation with local author K. D. Mason, creator of the popular "Jack Beale" detective series.  Drawing on his years of experience as a restaurateur, sailor, and runner, K. D. Mason fills his books with people and places familiar to residents of the Seacoast.  Mr. Mason will read from his new book Killer Run and share a bit about his life and work as an author.  The reading is open to all ages, and is free of charge.

We've chosen an array of classic films, including Westerns, dramas, musicals and comedies, each of which won one or more major Academy Award (Best Picture, Best Actor/Actress, Best Director). We're also trying out a new day/time for movies: Tuesday afternoon matinees. If this day/time is successful we will continue it throughout the year as a venue for classic movies!

Please note: Due to Snowstorm Nemo, the Friends of the Lane Memorial Library have postponed the Sweetheart Tea (originally planned for this Saturday, February 9th) until March 9th.  The times for the morning and afternoon sessions will remain the same.

Peg Duffin - February Artist reception

Please join us on Monday, February 11th at 6:30 PM for a reception and artist talk by Hampton resident Peg Duffin, whose exhibit portfolio The Seasons is on display for the month of February in our Weston Gallery.  Working primarily in watercolors, Peg has been a member of the Seacoast Art Association for over 20 years and is a founding member of the newly established Hampton Art Network.
Peg owns and operates the Art and Soul Gallery in Hampton, and offers courses in watercolor from her home in Hampton.  Her personal style has emerged over years of study under many talented artists, and viewers often comment on the sense of serenity in her works.
Light refreshments will be provided, and the reception is open to all.
