"Shutter Island" in the Weston Theater

Join us on Tuesday, June 22nd at 12:30 PM and Thursday, June 24th at 5:45 PM for a showing of Shutter Island in our Weston Theater. Based on the book by popular Boston author Dennis Lehane and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, this is the the story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels (DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo), who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the cost of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island's fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane. Director Martin Scorsese creates a spine-chilling thriller that critics say “sizzles with so much suspense that it’s hot to the touch” (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone).

Note that this film is rated 'R', and that viewer discretion is advised. Popcorn and drinks are courtesy of the Friends of the Library, and admission is free.
