Ellen Gunst - photographs and artist talk

Plan to join us on Thursday, May 24th at 6:30 PM to hear Hampton Beach photographer Ellen M. Gunst talk about her passion for black and white photography and describe her film-based images and traditional darkroom development techniques. Ellen's exhibit of black and white silver gelatin prints is currently on-going in the Lane Library Weston Gallery, and features images from several portfolios entitled "Liberty", "Battery Park", and "A Stone's Throw" taken with both 35mm and medium-format cameras.

Originally from New York City, Ellen has been working with a camera since age 11, capturing the streets and people of her hometown. Now working with deliberation and attention to natural forms, she describes herself as "a lifelong student of light".

Ellen's talk is of interest for teens and adults,  and is free and open to the public.  There will be time set aside at the end for questions and discussion.  For more information, contact Darrell Eifert at (603) 926-3368.
