The Weston Gallery welcomes Jar Bement

For the month of July, the Lane Library is pleased to welcome Hampton resident and artist Jar Bement as an exhibitor in our Weston Gallery.  A native of Bangkok, Jar began painting "art on glass" over fifteen years ago in Thailand.  With no formal art training, she became well know in Bangkok as an original talent, working weekends in malls and at nights on gifts for her friends and clients in the shipping industry.  Jar is fascinated with painting on canvas, cloth, clothing, and fashion accessories.  Her colorful abstracts are rooted in a love of Jazz music and the sights and sounds of busy life.  She currently displays her art in numerous galleries, Starbucks, banks and restaurants throughout the New England and Mid Atlantic area.
