Free memoir writing workshops Tuesdays in October

Do you have memories that you would like to write down and share with friends and family?  Have you ever said to yourself "I can't write", or "I don't know where to start", or "I can't come up with interesting ideas"?  Fear not, for it's time to unleash the writer within and get those thoughts down on paper.  Beverly McCoy, a retired high school teacher will be offering a series of free workshops during the month of October for anyone in the Hampton community who would like to learn the craft of memoir writing.  Each drop-in workshop will run from 6:30 to 7:45 on successive Tuesdays, beginning October 2nd and going through October 23rd in the downstairs Lane Room of the Lane Memorial Library.  What should you bring?  A notebook or loose-leaf journal (8"x11" or larger), a pen, and your treasure chest of memories.
