George Harvey - "Breaking into Print", Wednesday, October 9th at 6:30 PM

Two years ago, Hampton resident George Daniel Harvey began to think about writing a book.  A former New York police officer with a later career in caring for emotionally disturbed children, George wanted to set down in words the "crossroad moments" in his life that have moved him along a path of wisdom and understanding.  The result is his book Journey to Yes, recently published by Alibris Press and available both as an e-book download and on the shelf at area book stores.

Please join us on Wednesday evening, October 9th at 6:30 PM to hear George describe the events that took him from moments of thoughtful introspection to the reality of a published book.  Notes George, "Writing is hard work.  It requires your full attention and presence.  You may think that you are writing the book, but soon you realize that the book, in many respects, is writing itself through you!  Writing Journey to Yes took me on quite a journey, the likes of which I could not have imagined when I first started out."

The author talk is open to all, with light refreshments provided by the library and time at the end for questions and book signings.
