Mike Bisceglia - "Gaelic and Garlic", Feb. 18th at 6:30 PM

Please join us on Tuesday evening, February 18th at 6:30 PM as we welcome local author Michael Bisceglia Jr. to the library.  He will be reading from his new book Gaelic and Garlic, a comic novel based on his memories of growing up in an Irish-Italian home.  Mike is a former teacher with over twenty-five years of experience as a teacher who now writes for several area newspapers and who has published numerous works of fiction and non-fiction.

In talking about the genesis of his book, Mike recalled that “I have the distinct privilege of having a combined Irish-Italian heritage.  I have played stickball in the gritty streets of Worcester (Wista), Massachusetts, and have laughed and cried (but mainly laughed) at more than my share of wakes, weddings and family reunions.  I love my family, and would love for you to meet every aunt, uncle and cousin.”

Mike's talk is free and open to all ages, with books available for signing after the presentation.
