Teen Services Summer Reading: Magical! Mechanical! Mysterious!

Open to ages 12-18 who live in Hampton or are students of Winnacunnet HS.
Reading and sign ups begin June 23rd!
Students keep a log of the pages they read. (logs available online and in the Teen Area). They can read whatever book, graphic novel, comic or magazine they like, but certain titles could be used to complete our Teen Bingo Card Challenge. Completing squares on the Bingo Card will earn a reader extra raffle tickets and increase their chance of winning a Dunkin Donuts gift card at our weekly drawing and at our end of summer party.
The best part about the reading portion of the Teen Summer Reading Program is that it's something you're probably already going to be doing. So why not take a chance at winning some awesome gift cards and prizes while you're at it?

From July 2nd until August 29th the Teen Department will offer daily programing for teens. Join us for Kickball with a Water Balloon twist, try your hand at the art of illusion at our Magic Workshop, make a tiny circuit monster, learn about forensics, robotics and much more! Attending programs is another great way to earn raffle tickets for the end of summer drawing.  Calendar of events!
Our programs are geared towards the idea that the library is a place where we can invent and learn. Where we can be hands on and creative in whatever space is available! We'll be exploring where our imagination can take us outside of the pages of a book.

So you're not much of a reader and you think you might be too old for some of the programs? Stacy, our Teen Librarian is always looking for volunteers for the Teen Department and the Library. We'd love to have you involved in our community! Volunteering will also earn you raffle tickets.
Volunteering is an excellent way to give back to your community and expand your horizons.

How the Summer Reading Program Works:

(logs available online and in the Teen Area). You can read whatever book, graphic novel, comic or magazine you like, but certain titles could be used to complete our Teen Bingo Card Challenge. Completing squares on the Bingo Card will earn a reader extra raffle tickets and increase your chance of winning a Dunkin Donuts gift card at our weekly drawing and our even bigger iPad mini and Canobie Lake Park tickets at our End of Summer Murder Mystery Party.
