Two newsletters

Our quarterly library newsletter -- "Lane Library Lines" -- has recently appeared on our website along with our monthly newsletter from the Children's Room. Another thank you to all who came to the Friends of the Library booksale last week and bought books. The Friends made a whopping $3000 from the 3-day sale, and now look forward to being able to help the library purchase some things that we might otherwise not be able to afford. One of the things that the Friends buy for the library every year are passes to various museums around the area, including the museums of Fine Arts and Science in Boston, the New England Aquarium in Boston, the Children's Museum of Portsmouth, the Museum of New Hampshire History in Concord, the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Mass., and the Seacoast Science Center at Odiorne Point State Park in Rye.
