The Twilight Book Club reads "A Thread of Grace"

On Tuesday, May 5th at 6:30 PM, the Twilight Book Club will meet to discuss A Thread of Grace, by Mary Doria Russell.

In this rich and complex historical novel, Mary Russell brings to life a little-known episode from the history of the Jews in Italy during the Nazi occupation. Italian citizens saved more than 43,000 Jews during the last years of WW II, and Russell has chosen this remarkable accomplishment as a background for her tense, absorbing thriller.

“Fans of Mary Doria Russell’s The Sparrow and Children of God will be thrilled by her masterful new novel. A Thread of Grace is a rich, multi-layered narrative that offers fresh insight into a devastating time in world affairs. A story of love and war, it speaks to the resilience and beauty of the human spirit in the midst of unimaginable horror. It is, unquestionably, a literary triumph.”
–David Morrell, author of The Brotherhood of the Rose and First Blood
