Plan to bring the family down to the Lane Library on Monday, October 13th at 12 Noon for our 3rd annual Soup of the Americas Family Cook-off, featuring soup concoctions with at least TWO ingredients found in the New World.  Entries are now being accepted from patrons and members of the Hampton community who wish to try their hand at bringing their best soup to the table!  Chef Ron Boucher from Chez Boucher will be on hand to judge the entries and everyone will get the chance to vote for People's Choice.  Voting will close at 12:45, with an invitation for all who attend to stay for a demonstration at 1 PM by Chef Boucher on how to create one of his favorite new soup recipes.

Prizes for the popular vote and Chef's Choice will be:
  • Chef's 1st - $50 Gift certificate to Savory Square BistroChef's
  • 2nd - $25 Gift certificate to Savory Square Bistro
  • People's 1st - $50 Gift certificate and gift basket from Philbrick's Fresh Market
