April 29th - "A Professional Guide to Matting and Framing"

On Wednesday, April 29th at 6:30 p.m. Marilyn Rishkofski, president and CEO of Art Experience in Hampton, will conduct a matting and framing class at the Lane Memorial Library. She will explain how professionals choose an appropriate mat and frame based on the print qualities and the décor of the intended exhibit space, demonstrate the best techniques to frame and seal a print, and provide a "makeover" based on one of the photographs currently on exhibit in the Lane Room. With a Fine Arts Education degree from Wilkes University and having spent years teaching art in the public school system, Marilyn brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her classes. This seminar is free and open to the public, with light refreshments provided by the Friends of the Lane Memorial Library.
