Library Friends Hold Doll Clothes Sale

The Friends of the Lane Memorial Library are holding a doll clothes sale on Wednesday, October 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

An assortment of high quality clothes will be available to purchase including party dresses, jumpers, pants, blouses, faux fur and fleece coats, nightgowns and robes, skirts, sweaters and hats. Items are designed to fit American Girl dolls as well as Bitty Babies, and proceeds from the sale benefit the Children's Room of the Lane Library.

"This is a great way to get a jump start on your holiday shopping while supporting the community library," comments Friends volunteer Dot Gooby, who is organizing the event. "The sale will feature a wide assortment of unique, hand-crafted clothing. We expect another great turnout this year and encourage shoppers to get there early as items do sell out quickly."

Established in 1958, the Friends is a multi-age volunteer organization whose mission is to preserve and strengthen Hampton's library as a community resource. For more information, visit the Friends website at http://www.lanelibraryfriends.org/
