TEENS:
We're well underway with summer and we're already had a lot of books turned in for Summer Reading. If you're looking for a particular book that we don't have, please let me know. I am always happy to order books for you guys.

The list of summer reading participants back at the Ref Desk is up-to-date with everyone's Summer ID number. You can also call 926-3368 to get this number. You can then turn in your summer reading online.

On to the fun stuff!

Here's a rundown of the programs coming up:
July 20th as always we hold our Weekly Raffle in the Teen Area from 3:30-4:00 pm. Turn in your reading or attend to earn tickets. The Kona Ice Truck sells yummy Kona Ice right outside the library. Come get some Kona!

July 20th Reading Buddies 4:00-4:30 pm, Children's Room. Our Reading Buddies program is full.

July 21st 2:00-3:30 pm Cooking For Cross Roads at the 1st Congressional Church, Hampton NH. Teens can volunteer to work with the wonderful people at the 1st Congressional Church as they make their monthly meal for Cross Roads House. This amazing program will involve prep work and cooking by teens. Adult volunteers will be on hand to guide you. The church is also providing a snack for those that attend. Cross
Roads protects men, women and children of the Greater Seacoast area experiencing homelessness from exposure and hunger. They provide secure, transitional shelter for those seeking to break the cycle of homelessness.  They support individuals and families by providing them with the opportunity to move with dignity and purpose to stable and decent housing.

July 21st Make a Mask 3:30-4:30 pm, Teen Area. This is a great way to start a Cosplay or Halloween costume. We'll be using a material called Worbla to make our masks. It's something that serious Cosplayers use. We'll shape, paint, and seal our masks. Space will be limited for this project, as I only have so much Worbla. First come, first serve.

July 22nd & 23rd  Comic Book Workshop w/ Rich Woodall 3:00-4:00 pm, Lane Room. Rich Woodall is a New Hampshire based artist/writer, best known for his creator owned titles Johnny Raygun, the Zombie Bomb! Comic Anthology, and Kyrra Alien Jungle Girl the series he co-created with artist Craig Rousseau.  He has also worked with Image Comics on The Savage Dragon, The Perhapanauts, and done THOUSANDS of sketch cards for Marvel, DC Comics, Lord of the Rings, Mars Attacks, Star Wars, and Indiana Jones. He'll be talking with teens about the comic book industry, what it's like to be a full time artist, and will also lead our teens in a drawing/creating project. And if I remember correctly from last year, he might even do a custom sketch for each participant.

July 24th 8:30-11:00 p.m. Skywatch with the NH Astronomical Society, North Beach, Hampton, NH.  The Society will bring several of their telescopes to this event. A beach star watch is pretty much the most awesome thing to do. Everyone should try it once. Open to all ages. Rain Date is July 31st.

Reminders:
Earn tickets by attending any daily program(weekly raffle, movie night, Tuesday activities, etc) or volunteer program. Attend 7 programs and earn 25 tickets.

Don't forget that the Teen Bingo Card earns you extra tickets.
