Joyeux Noel
Rated PG-13 (1 hr., 54 mins.)
Wednesday, December 16 @ 1 pm AND
Thursday, December 17 @ 5:30 pm

Starring Diane Kruger

In 1914, World War I, the bloodiest war ever at that time in human history, was well under way. However on Christmas Eve, numerous sections of the Western Front called an informal, and unauthorized, truce where the various front-line soldiers of the conflict peacefully met each other in No Man's Land to share a precious pause in the carnage with a fleeting brotherhood. This film dramatizes one such section as the French, Scottish and German sides partake in the unique event, even though they are aware that their superiors will not tolerate its occurrence.

*Both showings of this film will be shown dubbed in English*

Classic Christmas Movie "Bachelor Mother", Wed. 12/9

Classic Christmas Movie
Bachelor Mother
Not Rated (1 hr., 37 mins.)
Wednesday, December 9 @ 1 pm

Starring Ginger Rogers and David Niven

Unemployed Polly Parrish (Ginger Rogers) impulsively picks up a baby left at orphanage doors at Christmas. Everyone assumes the foundling is hers, including Polly's playboy ex-boss (David Niven), who offers her a job if she'll live up to her maternal duties. A paycheck would be handy, so Polly complies. Then the boss's tycoon dad (Charles Coburn) assumes the infant is his secret grandson...and things really spin out of control. Buoyed by Rogers' irresistibly endearing performance, Bachelor Mother is one of those rarities, a brilliantly cast comedy where everything - plot, pacing and dialogue (thanks to Garson Kanin's savvy direction and Norman Krasna's witty script) - is exactly, hilariously right.

Admission is FREE. Popcorn and water are provided courtesy of the Friends of the Lane Memorial Library.
